Montgomery City Public Library will be hosting a D&D group meeting on Saturday towards the end of the month. Additional groups may be added if there is enough interest. It will be primarily aimed at beginners, but experienced players are still welcome. All necessary supplies will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own dice and/or Players' Handbook. 

Should you wish to continue playing with the group It is expected that you will come to every session you can for your desired group. We will attempt to make accommodations for those that miss dates or wish to join at a later date.

Spots are limited by the number of DMs we have to run the games so signing up is requested.

A tutorial, session zero, and guided character creation opportunity will be required before joining an already active group, which will last around one to two hours. New groups take care of this during their first session. Please contact us to schedule this if you are interested in joining an already active group.

People with developmental disabilities and their caregivers are invited to the monthly meeting of Books & Beyond at the Montgomery City Public Library.  The group does a variety of activities like bingo, crafts, movies, and exercise to name a few.  Please call Luanne at 573-564-8022 if you have questions. 

Adults are invited to play this monthly Dungeons & Dragons game.  The dates and times vary.  

Please join us at MCPL for Homeschool Hangout where your kiddos can meet with other homeschool kids while having fun, playing, and learning.  Topics will tie into the homeschool curriculum.  

The Montgomery City Public Library Board of Trustees meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm to conduct library business.  The public is invited to attend the open meeting.  If a person would like to address the board, they would need to sign up before the meeting begins.

Babies through preschoolers and their caregivers are invited to Story Time Adventures on Mondays from 10 am to 11 am at the Montgomery City Public Library.  This is a time to read, sing, rhyme, talk, and play while learning early literacy skills in a fun way.

The Montgomery City Public Library Board of Trustees meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month to discuss library business, beginning at 7:00 pm.  The public is welcome to attend the open meetings and can sign up to speak during the Patron Comment Section.  

The Robotics Classes at the Montgomery City Public Library are held on the 1st Saturday of the month.  Please sign-up at the library!

Lego Club at the Montgomery City Public Library is open to all ages- children, teens, adults, and seniors.  It is held on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 10:00 -11:00 am.  Come create imaginative designs that are placed on display for the public to see. 

Books and Bites is a program that combines the love of books with creating food, exploration, and experimentation.  Each month, children will hear a story, and then help prepare food that goes with the story.  The child will be expected to help prepare foods, possibly taste/try new foods, discuss the food and book, and help clean up.  Registration is required.  Please call the library (573-564-8022), email mcplmogroups@gmail.com, or stop by the library to register your child.  

The ABC Book Club meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm.  This adult book club takes turns selecting a book,  everyone reads it, and then they meet to discuss it the following month.  Please call the library (573-564-8022) if you are interested in joining.  

The Needle Arts Gathering is held on the 2nd Sunday of each month from 2-4 pm at the Montgomery City Public Library.  This is a time to bring your own needle art (sewing, crocheting, hooking, etc.) and fellowship with like-minded crafters.  

The Coloring Club is for adults who like to relax and fellowship while coloring.  All supplies are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.  The Coloring Club meets on the 1st Tuesday of the month from 2 to 3 pm in the small Reference Room.  

The Adults Arts & Crafts program is held monthly on the 2nd Tuesday from 2 to 4 pm in the Community Room of the Montgomery City Public Library.  Registration is required.  Please stop by MCPL, call (573-564-8022), or email (mcplmogroups@gmail.com) to get more information or to register for the class.

The Montgomery City Public Library will host a monthly Game Night on the 1st Thursday from 5:00-7:00 pm.  A variety of games will be available to enjoy. Everyone is welcome, no age limits!

Join the Friends of the Library for their annual meeting on Tuesday, April 15, beginning at 6:30 pm.  Mocktails and snacks will be served.

The Introvert Book Club was originally scheduled for May 26, but MCPL is closed that day in honor of Memorial Day.  The Introvert Book Club will be held on Monday, May 19, from 1-3 pm at the Rugged Root Coffee Shop.
