Montgomery City Public Library

Attendance: President and Acting Secretary Theo Tate, Vice President Mark Clements, Treasurer Jamie Cox, Library Director Gaylee Harris, Members Jamie Bukovac, Pat Garrett, Kellee Gentry, Cassie Hasekamp, Tiffany Singer and Anna Powell. Not present was Secretary Angel Davis.

The Montgomery City Public Library Board of Trustees meeting was called to order at 7:02 p.m., September 10 by President Theo Tate. The agenda was approved. The consent agenda was approved.

Theo Tate presented the board training on review of the parliamentary procedure board training from Aug. 13.

Gaylee Harris presented the library director’s report.

There were no communications from board members.

Anna Powell presented the Friends of the Library report. She talked about the book sale that was scheduled for Sept. 13.

The program committee of Theo, Kellie, Jamie and Tiffany will meet at 1 p.m. on Oct. 2.

A presentation by the technology committee was made. The committee met on Aug. 18 and plans to meet again on Oct. 13 to update the technology plan.

There was a reminder that the next Board of Trustees meeting will be at 7 p.m. on Oct. 16.

In new business, librarian Katie Bainbridge made a presentation on the issue of long overdue materials at the library. She said between 2021-2025, there was a total of $2,634 of lost items.

Gaylee discussed automatic door buttons at the library.

There were no patron comments.

Pat moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:45 pm. The motion was seconded by Mark and passed.
