Montgomery City Public Library

Attendance: President and acting secretary Theo Tate, Vice-President Mark Clements, Treasurer Jamie Cox, Library Director Gaylee Harris, Members Jamie Bukovac, Pat Garrett, Kellee Gentry, Cassie Hasekamp and Tiffany Singer. Absent was Secretary Angel Davis.

The Montgomery City Public Library Board of Trustees meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m. by President Theo Tate. The agenda was approved. The consent agenda was presented.

Gaylee Harris presented the Library Director’s report. 

In communications from board members, Theo discussed the incident at the Nov. 15 After Hours Teen Night event in which a young man suffered a knee injury while doing a dance. Theo applauded the efforts of Gaylee and library staff member Katie Bainbridge for their help.

Gaylee presented the Friends of the Library report on Anna Powell’s behalf. The winter book sale will be December 12 & 13.

The Kitchen Renovations Committee will meet December 15, 2025 at 5:30 p.m.

The 100th Anniversary Committee will meet January 14, 2026 at 7 p.m.

The Bylaws and Policy Committee meeting is scheduled before the February meeting. With Angel absent in the board meeting, Mark sent emails to committee members to find out their availability.

The Grant Committee will meet at 10 a.m on Feb. 18.

In Unfinished Business, Kellee said she will pick up the gift card at Rugged Root Coffee Shop on Dec. 11 for the Friends of the Library.

The Friends and Strategic Planning Committee meeting will meet at 9 a.m. on Jan. 28. 

There were no patron comments.

Kellee moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:21 p.m. The motion was seconded and passed.
